🍷 Wine Wednesday
Final April Last Bubbles Exclusive Discount!
This week, we’re raising glasses to contrast and character—from a smooth and citrusy German white, to a bold Grand Cru grower Champagne, and a deeply expressive Napa Cab built for now and later. Whether you’re brunching, splurging, or slow-sipping by the grill, these bottles bring serious flavor, story, and value to the table.

Weingut Gold Alicante 2022 – A crisp, organic white from Germany’s Swabian hills, this one’s all about clean refreshment. Bright citrus, green apple, and just a touch of minerality make it endlessly easy to drink—equally great with a breakfast sandwich or a late-night burger and fries. Smooth, vibrant, and ready for chill sipping anytime.
Champagne Maurice Vesselle MV – This Grand Cru Champagne from Bouzy is brooding and powerful, with iron-rich minerality, dried fruit, and toasty complexity. Crafted by a legendary grower, it’s a Pinot Noir–driven sparkler with serious depth—think dried mango, sourdough, and a whisper of asphalt. Pop it with tartare or tuna rolls and let it shine.

Dark fruit, chocolate, and spice pour from the glass, backed by 28 months in new French oak and an extra 8 in bottle. Decant it for 30-45 minutes, then pair with grilled meats or aged cheese. It’s rich, structured, and seriously cellar-worthy.
Three wines, three moods—from bright brunch sipper to moody, mineral Champagne to age-worthy Cab. Which one’s making your next pour? 🍷

What makes this wine special?
In my book, nothing compares to the distinctive character and depth of Grower Champagne—and I’m especially drawn to the concentration and power of Pinot Noir from the Grand Cru village of Bouzy. There's something undeniably compelling about the way this village captures the grape's intensity and elegance, an iron fist in a velvet glove.

What makes this wine special?
I chose this wine because it's a perfect example of an incredibly high QPR wine from a family owned vineyard in the heart of Napa Valley that is offering classic, estate grown, small-lot Cabernet wines. This wine is drinking very nicely now, but is also built to age. It was aged in 80% new French oak for 28 months and then spent an additional eight months in bottle before release. Winemaker Jeff Ames hit a home run with this one. This one Cabernet you don't want to miss out on!
Additional Information:
I would recommend at minimum a 30-45 minute decant on this beautiful wine to allow it to fully open up.
